Dr. Kristen Yip, Family Medicine Resident, R2



Dr. Yip received her B.Sc from UBC, her M.D. from Ross University, Dominica, and is currently in her first year of the Family Medicine Residency program at UBC under the guidance of Dr. Fadyeyeva. 


Dr. Yip enjoys staying fit via cycling and resistance training to counterbalance her propensity for any combination of potatoes and cheese. She is a loyal Canucks fan since the '94 Cup run and an avid music lover from Motown to indie rock. Since her foray into medicine and most recently into residency, Dr. Yip has developed an intense interest in obtaining sleep. 


Dr. Nazgul Chokmorova, Family Medicine Resident, R1



Dr. Nazgul Chokmorova received her Medical Degree in the Kyrgyz Republic, where she worked as a General Practitioner for more then 10 years providing Primary Health Care to the community.

Dr. Chokmorova moved to Canada 5 years ago. She enjoyed a challenge of preparing for medical exams to obtain her Canadian Medical License. In parallel she worked at UBC while studying at SFU. Currently, she is a first year resident at UBC Family Medicine Program (St. Paul’s Hospital) under guidance of Dr. Hamidreza Tabassi. Her passion is to provide comprehensive patient-centered care and ensure patient well-being across the lifespan from the prenatal to the geriatric stages of life.


Dr. Chokmorova is delighted to spend free time with her family of three children. Playtime with toddler twin daughters gives her boost of energy and fun. She loves cooking and practicing yoga.
